15 years since I was asked by @Telegraph to write a photo caption for a royal kiss and decided to go with something completely different that happened that day

This is extremely funny to do to the quite elderly avatar of White Anglo-Saxon Protestantism

*Traces Of Texas Tech*
Willie Nelson in a late 80s Texas Tech jersey during his 1988 concert at Jones Stadium.
The performance was a special benefit show to raise scholarship funds for Texas Tech football.
Nelson would return to Jones AT&T Stadium in 2009 with Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp for “The Bob Dylan Show.” That night marked the first concert at the stadium since his 1988 appearance — and the last one until George Strait took the stage in 2026.

.@POTUS on Spirit Airlines: "I think we just buy it. We'd be getting it virtually debt-free. They have some good aircraft, good assets — and when the price of oil goes down, we'll sell it for a profit. I'd love to be able to save those jobs... I like having a lot of airlines so it's competitive."

@HeroineRipley @TripperDay @JonahDispatch @Rory_Johnston Your conclusion “my GR didn’t bite your kid” rests on a premise “GR don’t bite kids” you gave no proof for and contains your conclusion. Looks like you’ve got it to me!
English

@HeroineRipley @TripperDay @JonahDispatch @Rory_Johnston Question is maybe another bad translation. Maybe “begs the listener to accept the principle premise” would be better. But yes, your example is a perfect example of “begging the question” or “petitio principii.”
English

@HeroineRipley @TripperDay @JonahDispatch @Rory_Johnston You’re begging/asking your listener to assume your premise.
English

@HeroineRipley @TripperDay @JonahDispatch @Rory_Johnston So if I said, “My explanation was perfect, because I only give perfect explanations,” this would be an example of begging the question. It’s basically just another way to say “circular reasoning.” “Begging” is a clumsy translation of “petitio.” Latin: “petitio principi”
