Was told to “file a claim” with @Iberia_en. I did. No response. Told to file another claim two weeks later. I did. No response. Posted a tweet. Got quick response from @Iberia_en, promising to look into my claim…. Now this response—completely irrelevant:

On 3/16, I purchased ticket ($1070) for my daughter to fly NYC-Seville on 7/11 on @Iberia_en. Confirmed flight. My VISA was charged. Tried to check my daughter in day before flight. Was told her “reservation was canceled.” No explanation. Had to buy new ticket $1816.47.

@Iberia_en replied to my claim with irrelevant denial: “our operation was limited by circumstances beyond our control… we are not able to offer you any compensation.” They cancelled our reservation, not the flight, so I had to buy 2nd ticket. Should I call lawyer?

Purchased @Iberia_en flight on 3/16 from NYC to Sevilla for $1070. Confirmed. Tried to check in before flight & discovered Iberia cancelled reservation (not flight) without notifying or refunding! Had to buy new ticket for $1816. Filed claim, waited, 2nd claim, still no answer😢
