Well that’s it, we’re cooked. Clev’s with an absolute masterclass how not to play against a Shuey team: 1. Low energy, limited pressing 2. Surrender midfield numerically Can’t work out whether it was just arrogance, overconfidence or just naivety to set up like that. #pafc

@MaccaSouth He did. Mentioned Watts’ had a tight calf muscle and they were managing it carefully.

Seems odd that cleverley didn’t mention Watts injury yesterday when going through injuries in the press conference, I’m sure he would have, it’s nothing new to us! Must have been a last minute thing? #pafc

@PilgrimPetey Add to that setbacks to return dates and a failure to manage phased returns effectively which have led to new injuries, and you’ve got ask why the fitness and conditioning department hasn’t been overhauled already. #pafc

It actually looks even worse when you look at it like this!! So the ONLY players our strength and conditioning coach/ medical team have been able to keep fit so far is LAH, Sorinola, Mitchell, Boateng, Curtis and Harding!! ⚽️💚 #pafc

This is an absolute bloody disgrace!! 22 players!! ⚽️💚 #pafc Hazard x3 Pleggy x3 Edwards x1 Mackenzie x1 Szucs x1 Benarous x2 Watts x1 Ralls x2 Ibrahim x2 Paterson x2 Amaechi x1 Robert’s x1 Finn x2 Pepple x1 Dale x2 Ross x1 Tolaj x2 Oseni x2 Wiredu x1 Kane x 1 Galloway x1

It says something when our injury list is longer than Bonnie Blue’s guest list. Let’s be honest, it’s an absolute disgrace the club don’t know why the injury list is huge, and recurring. #pafc

Is anyone actually in midfield with Boateng? The guy can cover a lot of ground, but this is a bit beyond even him. #pafc

It’s as simple as this: We’re losing too many duels all over the pitch. Let’s hope we’re fitter than they are and grind something out. #pafc

Just when you think we’ve learned that having wingers who will cross the ball has a positive impact on results, we put our most effective winger up front and replace him with someone who wants to pass backwards. #pafc

@jackolesliepafc @packere96 I’d go a bit further and suggest opposing managers are simply working us out, change things around a bit at half time, and TC is slow to respond. #pafc

@packere96 I honestly think the biggest factor is fitness. How many games have we came out and looked completely knackered this season. I’d be getting in an Eliot Turner type in the summer. Quality off the bench instantly weakens us also most of the time which also doesn’t help.

Thrown away 8 points from winning positions in the last 3 games. Our first half football is half decent, our second half can’t even be described as football. What on earth is being said at half time?! #pafc

We’re now at that stage where the opposing team know he’s a shambles and build ‘shoot from anywhere’ into their game plan. Big shout out the goalkeeping coach who I haven’t noticed testing LAHs catching from crosses before games since he was appointed. #pafc

Well that was nothing short of horrific and shines another glaring spotlight on the awful decisions not to consider recruiting (a) a competent GK or (b) another striker when we’re clearly so dependent on a powerful target man in this system. #pafc

The first transfer window since the farce/trauma of the summer. Two experienced players through the door in positions we needed, is great business. Who’d have thought not leaving things to a loans manager and an AI bot would deliver such different results? #pafc

Any indications who the mystery midfield man is yet? Seen a couple of names floated about over the weekend but anything more reliable this morning? #pafc

Admittedly this was pre-Tolaj, but the principle stands. Delighted to we’re close to a CB and CM, but if we genuinely have ambitions to achieve a league placing to match our budget, it makes no sense not to bring in another striker. #pafc
Mark@markyball

With an increasing number of inexperienced front men linked, I hope the recruitment team are focussed on the facts: We need to be scoring 70+ goals to be in the top 1/4 of the table if we’ve got a moderate defence and let 50 in. No questions. Spend the money. #pafc

If you’re a pressing team you absolutely don’t need to bring Amaechi on. We had the players on the bench to shut up shop and go 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 for the shithouse point, but keeping a 4-4-2 with Amaechi as a second striker was criminal. Very naïve management indeed. #pafc

@plymrrf Looks like a good decision to me. Watts was also looking for cheap free kicks on Tuesday.

The difference between clubs who are organised and know what they want, versus clubs who adopt different player requirements on a week by week basis, is very obvious during this window. #pafc

@markyball Sickening treble that and it’s in the ballpark. Honestly they’re paying players silly money. Would be perfect with Tolaj in a 2. But not going to happen sadly.

Lots of #pafc people immediately writing this one off this morning. But Mumba’s exit means we can afford the base salary and there really isn’t a decision to make if the choice is between signing 4th choice CB, or a first choice ST.

Ryan Hardie expected to be on the move before deadline. The Wrexham striker is close to full fitness with League One clubs Bolton and old side Plymouth vying for a loan deal. Competition from elsewhere likely to now ramp up for the Scot. #wrexhamafc #pafc #argyle #bwfc #bolton

@jackolesliepafc Don’t think his wages are astronomical (£10k?) and rumours are Bolton may need to wheel and deal their way around their loan situation. It’s still unlikely, but you’ve got to be in it to win it 🤞🏻

@markyball I think Tom’s comments yesterday in the presser indicates that this one of most definitely off the cards sadly. Especially given his ridiculously high wages at Wrexham.
