The studio owns the market, not the engines. If you are looking at the gaming world the way it has always been, then yes. The thing is, world models will upend everything from start to finish. The studios will just use the tools that help them ship faster and cheaper. This will soon be AI tools.

What this will do to the unity ($11.26B) & Unreal Engine ($22.5B) market will be interesting to watch. World models will redefine gaming by moving beyond it into full-immersive gameplay.
