Another successful Session- Beyond the Curriculum

Beyond the Curriculum Session 1 was a success. It was a full house and some amazing end projects!

OJH NJHS sorted 77 bags at @TheBridgeTC yesterday! Shoutout to all of our student volunteers! @mdoyle121 @BushwallerOJH @135NJHS

This year wouldn’t be complete without our annual trip to @TheBridgeTC with the NJHS students! We had lots of fun sorting clothes and bringing help to their programs @Rakow_OJH @OJHEagles @135NJHS

NJHS students participated in their December Service Project- fleece blankets for a local animal shelter @135NJHS @OJHEagles

NJHS students picked 7 bags of prairie seeds and they were donated back to Public Works which will then be used to restore natives in other public areas. Some have thousands of seeds of that species! Awesome job giving back to our community! @Rakow_OJH @BushwallerOJH @135NJHS

Thank you to Orland Park Rotary for helping make this happen!

NJHS was able to help keep the Orland Park Nature Center clean! Students picked weeds, cleaned up garbage, and helped seed pick! @Rakow_OJH @BushwallerOJH @135NJHS

Huge shout out to our Speech Team! They worked tirelessly to memorize their speeches and perform them in front of a large audience. We had a first place (oration), second place (humorous interp), and third place (prose, dramatic interp) Congrats! @Soaringeagle102 @OJHEagles

Women’s History pennants are done! A super fun activity and kids loved it. Such a good find for me to honor wonderful women!
