In ep. 54, Sadakat, a narcissistic mother, launched the smear campaign against her scapegoat child, Boran. And it will continue in the coming episodes. (I discussed the narcissists' smear campaign here: x.com/aniabi26/statu…). As I’ve mentioned several times in my past posts, #UzakSehir isn’t just a TV series but a psycho-social experiment. So, I will share my predictions on what will happen, having already read some reactions following ep. 54. From ep. 55 onwards, Boran's siblings, half-siblings and ex-wife (Cihan, Nare, Kaya, Alya, Sahin and Zerrin) will be even angrier with Boran because they will believe Sadakat’s narrative (smear campaign) and, consequently (this is the experiment), so will "all" the viewers. I wrote "all" because so far I haven’t met a single person who thinks and sees what I think and see about Boran. Boran has always been the "scapegoat child" in his family. I used the term "scapegoat child" in the context of family dynamics involving narcissistic parents, rather than the generic meaning of "scapegoat". And we’ll also see (the experiment) that not everyone, but many, will reassess Sadakat and switch sides, saying, "Well done, Sadakat! I was right that Boran was the one who was sick, etc. You’ve finally seen it too! What a terrible son (I’ve deliberately avoided writing insults and various swear words)!? Poor Alya! What a terrible ex-husband she had! Worse than I already thought!" So what will Sadakat tell the policeman to continue her smear campaign in ep. 55? She has three of the billions of options: either "My son is sick", "My son is abusive" or "My son is too sensitive". Imo, she’ll opt for the first two options or a similar variations because the aim is to get the characters—and therefore the viewers—on Sadakat’s side. In other words, what happens in real life will happen here on X and on other social media, just as it’s already happening: the scapegoat isn’t believed and people believe the narcissist. Only trusted siblings and friends believe the scapegoat... ...but... After his car accident and the coma, no one recognises Boran because he suffers from emotional dysregulation (he cannot manage his anger, etc. – I explained what this entails in one of my posts) and, at times, he also experiences emotional dissociation). Yet, he is a further scapegoat because his doctor, Yalcin, is deliberately not treating him and has told everyone that Boran is fine. In other words, Boran is trapped by three manipulators: Sadakat, Yalcin and Ecmel, and all three are using the DARVO technique on him. (I explained the DARVO technique here: x.com/aniabi26/statu…) I was already convinced of what I have been thinking about Boran since May 2025 in S1, as those who read my posts already know, and episode 54 provided further confirmation. #UzakŞehir #CihAl #narcissism #DARVO @Uzaksehirdizi
