I woke up today and I’m still a 5sos fan. I woke up today and i’m still BLACK. I woke up today and i’m still seeing you guys on the timeline dismiss and excuse racist behavior and not understand why it hurts. Some of you may be able to wake up and go on with the rest of your day not thinking about this but unfortunately it will always be in the back of my mind, my favs conversed, entertained, favored, and joked with a group of people who were so openly racist and could give less of a fuck. I live my life as a black woman every single day it’s not something I can erase or change. I’m tired of being the joke. I’m tired of dealing with injustice and racism. I’m just fucking tired. You guys don’t understand that we are seriously SERIOUSLY hurt by this. I’m talking emotionally distraught and disturbed kind of hurt. This is something that will always be in my head and unfortunately I know, per usual, it probably won’t be addressed. To those who have experienced racism in this fandom outside of this situation, i know how it feels and i am sorry. I love you. And to those that have been addressing these issues, thank you. Continue to educate yourselves and don’t let this disappear like we let every other issue. <3
