Will Wade to LSU is exactly why I keep telling Cincy fans to just prepare to lose Calhoun to Ohio State. NC State is a better basketball school by a LARGE margin. Doesn’t matter. SEC/B1G have substantially more resources. 15 years ago this wouldn’t have happened

@USUtheRightBlue I believe they will get there with NIL. No one knows for certain what they spent the last 2 years. Going forward I’d say they need something in the $10-20 mill range.

@mill004 They said the same about Craig Smith and Danny Sprinkle. Ryan Odom might be the outlier. We will see. Calhoun is a good coach. He needs more NIL than that to be competitive in the Big 12 though.

@mill004 @crutchkn I’ve been saying this on social media for 15 years- UC needs to do more to be a state-wide brand. Having an equally skilled player from NJ or GA instead of Toledo or Cleveland is not going to move the needle in the 419 and 216. This applies to all sports.

@crutchkn @OSU_GRUCRU21 @damongraham Bball has always been a thorn. The back to back NC’s over osu caused a lot of acrimony with that generation and the one following. Then Huggs came. UC had success and tried to setup games. They declined. They only sched UC recently when UC was down.

@theCliftonAve2 @crutchkn Agreed. Mick passed on some guys who wanted to be Bearcats and were successful elsewhere. There are great bball players in Ohio that UC should be recruiting.

@mill004 @crutchkn I am very optimistic we will for the first time in 20 years tap back into state-wide recruiting again- particularly NEO and Columbus. Even during MC’s era all of our guys came from the east coast and the south. This statewide relevance will pay dividends to the brand.
