@Kasparov63 That’s why Armenians were deported. To stop the ethnic cleansing of Turks by Armenians. They didn’t serve in the military & formed militia bands to attack Turks, whereas Turkish villages didn’t have men since they were all at the front. They were targeted by Kurds&Arabs on the+

This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America. A Syrian billionaire needed U.S. sanctions lifted so he could cash in on $12 billion in reconstruction contracts. In an attempt to influence American foreign policy, he proposed a Trump-branded golf course, cut Jared Kushner & Ivanka Trump into a multibillion-dollar real estate deal for a resort in Albania, and had someone physically deliver a stone engraved with the Trump family crest to a Republican Member of Congress with instructions to take it to the White House to get the President's attention. Trump threw his weight behind repealing the sanctions. They were lifted. The contracts are moving, the Trump family’s deals are expanding, and not a single Washington Republican is willing to say a word about any of it. Vali sıfatıyla cinayet olayı yanyana gelince aklıma tek gelen örnek, Ankara Valisi Nevzat Tandoğan'ın Ankara Cinayeti olayı sonrası yaşamına son vermesi oldu. 1945'te dönemin Genelkurmay Başkanı Kazım Orbay'ın oğlu Haşmet Orbay, Dr. Neşet Naci Arzan'ı öldürüyor. Ancak suçu Orbay'ın ev arkadaşı Raşit Mercan üstleniyor. Raşit Mercan başta suçu kabul etse de daha sonra katilin Haşmet Orbay olduğunu söylüyor. Mahkeme sürecinde Nevzat Tandoğan'ın baskısıyla Raşit Mercan'ın suçu üstlendiği iddia ediliyor. Bunun üzerine Nevzat Tandoğan mahkemeye ifadeye çağrılıyor. 1946'da gerçekleşen mahkemede, Ağır Ceza Reisi'nin Nevzat Tandoğan'ı suçlayıcı şekilde davranması üzerine Tandoğan eşine "Şerefimle oynandı" diyerek duruşmanın ertesi günü yaşamına son veriyor. Genelkurmay Başkanı Kazım Orbay, oğlu cinayete karıştığı için istifa ediyor. Haşmet Orbay, cinayetten hüküm giyiyor. Tek parti döneminde bile nüfuzlu kişilerin karıştığı bir cinayet üzerinden 6-7 sene geçmeden, daha ilk yargılama esnasında ortaya çıkıyormuş. Hem de işin içinde Genelkurmay Başkanı'nın oğlu ve Ankara Valisi olsa da. (Tunceli Valisi'ne göre çok daha yüksek profilli bir dava olduğu açık) Şimdi ise basit bir valinin oğlunu korumak için kurulan tezgah, bu olayın 6-7 sene gizlenebilmesi ve iktidar içi rekabet olmasa bunun bile çözülemeyecek olması gibi bir durumla karşı karşıyayız. Hem de şu anda teknoloji, enformasyon, medya gibi imkanlar nedeniyle bir olayı gizlemenin çok daha zor olması gerekirken, başarıyla bu işin örtbas edilmiş olduğunu gözardı edemeyiz. 1945'te herhalde bir cinayeti örtmek, dönemin şartları nedeniyle çok daha kolay olsa gerek. Ama örtülememiş, çünkü devletin en azından bir bölümü ilk günden itibaren doğru çalışmış, seneler sonra değil. 80 sene arayla vali ismi karışan iki cinayet vakası üzerinden Türkiye'nin geriye gidişini bu şekilde okumak mümkün.

Private equity has returned over 15% annually since 1984 vs about 12% for the S&P 500. Government pension funds put a third of their money in these investments. But according to @SenWarren, letting 401(k) savers access the same thing is “putting your retirement at risk.” The only risk here is listening to a senator who wants to keep 90 million Americans stuck at the salad bar while everyone else eats steak.
