@modellinghouse @dccmckay @gorman_mary We don't but are happy to send you some samples. We believe some of the older tags have probably been buried in sand for decades and released after high tides and storms erode the dunes.

@LegoLostAtSea @dccmckay @gorman_mary Do you know the polymer type of these tags? I understand they float so likely PE? It would be very interesting to study rate of degradation against date of introduction in the marine environment.

@dccmckay @gorman_mary We do indeed find thousands of lobster pot tags from the US and Canada washed up here in Cornwall. The dark red one on the top here is dated 87.
