They want kids to learn the basics but surely AI will be taking over a lot of basic skills over the next few years? There’s going to be a revolution and these kids will have to deal with it. I’d be interested in hearing what teachers think…

@mcnaughthelen1 Apparently it touched down at 111 knots ground speed or about 200km/h, so was still going pretty quick. Judging from the wreckage some of the front passengers would be seriously injured as well. Tragic accident. I'm sure the investigation will reveal multiple factors at play.

The plane is travelling very fast so I guess it just landed. The pilots very sadly died and I wonder how the fire engine driver is.

Power should be a lot cheaper than it is. And we could be more energy independent

Rough calculations based on NZ electricity use of 40 TWh per annum and average sunlight etc, coupled with utility scale battery, we'd need a 10km x 10km (100 sq km) area with solar panels for the whole country. Cost of electricity would plummet. I bet prices wouldn't.
