@yacufc @CheddarReserves Completely agree, had a great game especially second half when we put lots of long balls into the box with the swirling wind. Impressive at only 16, well played Yusuf

BBQ RULES: We are about to enter the BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity . When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion: (1) The woman buys the food. Ensuring she is educated in the correct cuts of steak to purchase. (2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert. (3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand. (4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testosterone and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference of the woman. Here comes the important part: (5) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL. (6) The woman goes inside to organise the plates and cutlery. (7) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is looking great. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he flips the meat Important again: (8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN. (9) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table. (10) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes And most important of all: (11) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts. (12) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed ' her night off ', and, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women. 🤣🤣

People said Palace are shit in Europe. They called us embarrassing. Well, we just narrowly beat the 2nd best side in Cyprus. At the 3rd attempt. In extra time. After they went down to 9 men. Think a few apologies are owed.

A player wanting a detailed conversation with decision makers about what they need to do shouldn’t be too much to ask, in fact it should be absolutely routine. It is difficult to defend a management group who are unwilling to have these conversations. It’s part of the job.

Two phone calls, lasting a minute each. Liam Livingstone says that is the sum total of his contact with England's management since his most recent international appearance 12 months ago. Interview @ESPNcricinfo espncricinfo.com/story/liam-liv…

@bbctms I think it's fair to think Livingstone had more than enough chances AND he should have been managed better. There does seem to be a recurring theme that players are returned to their counties without any aftercare plan which is a huge concern re wellbeing and future involvement

Liam Livingstone has criticised the England set-up, saying he had no interest in being part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 🗣️ The 32-year-old has not played for England since last year's Champions Trophy and lost his central contract in September.

@Ajh1972258480 @NewquayClubshop I get that completely and of course there will be instances where that happens after postponements, I think fixtures could be setup a little bit smarter to avoid the longer journeys being put in for midweeks when first released

Common Sense Abandoned: How FA Travel Policies Are Killing South West Non-League Football The loss of St Austell from the Western League is a tragedy for Cornish football, and especially for the rivalries that give non-league football its soul. At a time when we are finally seeing more Cornish and Devon clubs competing at Step 5, we simply cannot afford to lose any of them. The Football Association certainly does little to help. Forcing clubs from the far South West to travel beyond Bristol on a regular basis is an appalling state of affairs. It is frankly ridiculous that part-time players, most of whom work full-time jobs, are expected to travel those distances for football. In recent years, there was talk of a merger between the Western League and the South West Peninsula League to create a more geographically sensible Step 5 structure in the West. However, if rumours are to be believed, inflated egos within the respective management groups prevented that from happening. If that is true, it has done real damage to the game in our region. This issue must be revisited, and those involved need to leave their egos at the door. When players work five days a week, train twice, and then face a 350 mile round trip on a Saturday, it is neither family friendly nor conducive to a healthy worklife balance.  Unsurprisingly, it also affects attendance. At this level, which clubs can realistically take a large away following when distances are so vast? Those sitting in the marbled halls of the Football Association appear completely detached from the realities of lower league football. They show little genuine interest in the challenges faced by clubs outside the professional game. Fixtures such as Newquay v St Austell or matches against Buckland Athletic will always attract bigger crowds than games against Oldland Abbotonians or Bradford Town. Local rivalries matter,  they are the lifeblood of non-league football. It is time for clubs to take a stand and say “no more”. This is not just a South West problem. In the North West Counties Football League, clubs are playing fixtures in and around the Midlands. Wolverhampton Sporting have already withdrawn from the league, and it is hard to believe that travel costs did not play a major role. With average gates of just 43, such expenses are simply unsustainable. The FA offers no meaningful financial support to offset travel costs. A sensible solution would be to bring together the Western League clubs from Devon and Cornwall, possibly including Wellington,  and merge them with the East and West divisions of the South West Peninsula League to create a new, geographically logical Step 5 league. Common sense must prevail at some point, for the sake of clubs, players, supporters, and the long-term health of the game in the South West.

Manager: Why didn’t you CC me on that email? Employee: It was a routine update, nothing critical. Manager: I want to be looped in on everything. Employee: That slows things down and shows distrust. Manager: If you can’t handle oversight, maybe you’re not fit for this role. Employee: Constant monitoring doesn’t improve work, it kills initiative. Micromanagement isn’t control, it’s insecurity in disguise. Great leaders trust. Toxic ones suffocate.

I wish more players realised what it takes from so many people to keep a club running smoothly, too many are too quick to make short term decision based on one thing only

Would Wan-Bissaka be good Daniel Munoz cover? He's played wing-back, can tackle well and would be ok being a squad player. Also means if we do lose Glasner and go to a back 4 we have a RB for the future? Or am I just thinking with my heart, not head? #CPFC

I guess getting out the group stage was just the goal A PL team finishing outside automatic just seems a failure I’m hoping we repeat a pattern of being so much better in the second half of the season and we might end up just blowing teams away But as it stands, what positives can you take to think we’ll go far
