I’ve slacked on posting this year! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’m taking a moment to express my gratitude for tutorials. The confidence, critical thinking skills, and impact on sts overall success is unmatched. I needed this when I was a student. Proud of these scholars!

Phase 2 of AVID’s critical reading process, involves numbering the paragraphs, putting a ⭐️ next to the author’s claim, highlighting evidence, and underlining reasoning, in order to prepare for more thoughtful and accurate writing. So helpful to student learning! @CMShuskypride

It’s Tutorial Tuesday @CMShuskypride AVID! I love observing the critical thinking skills and collaboration that @AVID4College students utilize to support one another as they break down their points of confusion in all subjects.

Thank you @coleweav for being an inspiration and role model! Nothing better than former students returning to share steps they’ve taken to achieve college and athletic success! Wide receiver for Miami University, full ride scholarship, and NIL player! Living the AVID dream!

So excited about the new Accelerated Career Diploma program being offered at North Springs next year! What a great option for students to be certified in a trade, graduate with a HS diploma, and an associate’s degree for FREE! Way to go FCS for creating this opportunity!

Thank you to Ms. Daniel and her AVID seniors for teaching CMS 8th graders about the importance of AVID in HS. These 3 were part of the inaugural AVID class at CMS! I’m so proud of them and their success as they prepare to head off to college! Full circle moment ❤️

It’s always wonderful when former students come back to share their educational and career journey with current students. @AVID4College 7th graders loved learning about law enforcement careers from the very passionate Officer Wright!

What a treat it was to see AVID strategies in the elementary setting! They were learning about taking 2 & 3 column notes and kindergartens were participating in Philosophical Chairs! I can only imagine what an advantage they will have when they head off to middle school.
