🏎 | 260420 | Uno Racing has released a detailed debrief explaining the issues faced by car #85 over the weekend, after many viewers (myself included) noticed unusual performance struggles that affected both drivers; here's a summary. During the opening race of the China GT Championship at the Shanghai International Circuit, the No. 85 car driven by Wang Yibo and Melvin Moh faced several technical and race-related challenges that impacted its performance. In the first race, the main issue during the race was a pit stop error, where the team did not meet the minimum required pit stop time. This resulted in a penalty that forced the car to pass through the pit lane again, affecting their race strategy and overall position. After that race, the team discovered worn-out mechanical parts, which prevented the car from reaching optimal performance. These components were quickly replaced before the second race, but the limitation in spare parts made the situation more difficult. As a side note, I clearly recall the English commentary noting that both UNO Racing Mercedes cars appeared to be experiencing some form of difficulty during their run in Race 1, so that's what it was. In the second race, despite improvements and strong driving, the car was affected by significant tire wear, which reduced stability as the race progressed.
