This month's Monthly Mover is Eric Bernhagen! 👋 Eric is a Saint Paul-based filmmaker and stop motion animator with a passion for creating surreal stop motion and live action films that, in his words, “make little sense and cost little to make – neither of which are by choice.”

Join a team of artists dedicated to supporting the local Minnesotan industry and surrounding areas. (Plus, as a board member, you’ll get to vote on how we guide our ship forward.)

Applications to join the Nice Moves Board in 2026 are OPEN! Give back to the community, foster greater animation knowledge and mentorship in MN, and also get a snazzy title for your Linkedin to sound cool, I guess? Well, I think volunteering is cool at least!

We’re using the form so that you prepare what you’ll show in advance and can indicate what level of feedback you’re hoping for, etc. We can’t wait to see what you’ve been cooking and celebrate the range of talent right here in the Upper Midwest!

That’ll give us time to review and assign you a slot before the event. Last time there was a lot of interest, so know we prioritize first come, first served, and also slight curation for diversity of medium/projects!

This February, we want to celebrate the love we have for our community by giving YOU the spotlight! Nice Moves will be hosting a VIRTUAL Show and Tell on February 19th on Discord!
