I’ve been making money online for more than a decade and every single time a platform rises to mass adoption and then implodes + every time terms of service change disfavorably for creators, some minority of prominent creators get online to say not to get mad at the platforms. Never once do these short-sighted hoes push for creators to build private sites or payment gateways, they just want you to keep sending traffic to platforms they use to make money. It’s always “too much” upfront cost to build sites but they want you to pay them for courses to learn to use the platforms they depend on. Watching everyone swing like a herd of monkeys from one rent seeking platform to the next and crying victim and marginalized of any other creators tell them this is foolish. If you’re not platform agnostic by now, there’s no hope for you anyway.
