Sitting here reflecting on the past three decades, I truly feel like I’ve learned and changed so much. People in their 20s face so much pressure to “make it” before they hit 30, but in reality, your 20s are for making mistakes, discovering yourself, and growing into who you are. My 20s were about reprogramming limiting beliefs, rediscovering what truly fulfills me, learning to stand my ground and advocate for myself, while also recognizing when to be patient and simply listen. I didn’t know what to expect standing at the threshold of my 30s, but I never imagined I would feel this at peace. I am the happiest and most stable I have ever been in my life, and I’m grateful to my younger self for persevering, even when things felt difficult. The future feels incredibly bright, and looking back, I appreciate how younger me walked so that 30-year-old me could run. So many people joke about life ending at 30 because you’re getting “old,” but aging is a privilege. Now that I’m finally here, I understand that life doesn’t decline from this point on. In many ways, it’s only just beginning. And I feel more prepared for it than I ever thought possible. I wouldn’t trade the wisdom and experience that come with aging for all the money in the world.
