I continue to be disappointed by Google's AI Overviews and how they're so often inaccurate or pulling information without context from other websites...and I don't believe enough people know better than to trust them

This is also why I never feel bad asking for, like, 24 more hours if I need it. The odds it's time sensitive are close to nil - and if it IS, any halfway decent editor has communicated that with you. (Was also an editor of freelance work when I had a FT job. Same was true then.)

Freelance tip of the day: If you submit something early, please don't follow up until after the due date we agreed on. Oftentimes, the due date is the soonest possible time we predict we'd be able to look at the story's draft.

@nuclearunicorns Read the website, what’s next?? Use the correct names of editors and not use AI made pitches?😭 Baffles me why anyone would pitch a publication despite having never read it. These are such basic mistakes!
