The insistence that abstract idea have as much or more impact than concrete campaigns that use our principles, is a deficiency

@SedDistro @SpaceCityAO Yes, my art is political. But the entire issue here is that you are elevating art to the same level as basic organizing practices. They are qualitatively different. If you had to run a campaign based entirely using art or entirely using 1-1’s…it’s pretty clear which to pick.

@SedDistro @SpaceCityAO I’m sorry, but it seems like we disagree. I don’t believe art can organize people. At best it plays a complimentary role in that process. But that role is extremely limited. One of the obstacles anarchists face is putting too much faith in these sort of abstract appeals.

People only become convinced of a set of principles when they see them in motion and recognize them as effective. Our role is to organize and communicate our ideas in context, not without.

The "specific campaign" you desire is to "talk to your neighbours", it is far from silly, such acts are vitial to building a culture of resistance.
