THE BLESSED WATER OF ZAMZAM If you drink the water of zamzam, it works for what you intend by Allah's might. ثبت عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أن ماء زمزم لما شُرب له If you drink it intending it as a food, you'll be so nourished as though you ate some food. If you drink it to aid your memory, so will it be by Allah's leave. It works as a cure for diseases of the mind, body and soul. In fact, there are cases where it was used in curing cancer. I used it for insomnia 9 years ago and it worked. It's a sabab of great healing. One of the scholars was reported to have drunk zamzam to affirm his tawheed. The supplication you make when you drink the water is accepted. Ibn Abbās radiyallaahu 'anhuma used to supplicate and ask Allah for beneficial knowledge, vast wealth and healing whenever he drank zamzam: اللهم إني أسألك علما نافعا ورزقا واسعا وشفاء من كل داء One of the students of Ibn Hajar dedicated an entire book to writing on drinking zamzam for knowledge. There were people among the scholars who drank zamzam to learn hadīth and those who drank it to teach hadīth. It works also, as a cure against black magic. I learnt Carter Efe drank some zamzam intending it as a cure against the black magic Portable did in anticipation of their clash and by Allah's might, the magic had no effect on him. He would go on to triumph over Portable who had fortified himself with black magic. His gods were helpless against Allah's decree. Above all, the will of Allah prevails in all circumstances.
