When you hear the word "harmonies," what's the first band that comes to mind?

No Doubt’s "Don't Speak" will always be a certified timeless banger. 🎸🔥 But Gwen Stefani performing it looking this fierce in her late 50s is the real showstopper.

House of the Rising Sun is a traditional American folk ballad (with origins dating back to the late nineteenth century and possibly linked to a royal brothel in New Orleans called the Rising Sun). The Animals turned it into rock music in 1964. They took the acoustic version of Bob Dylan (from the 1962 album) and decided to upgrade. Released as a single, it was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and also #1 in the UK. It was British Invasion's biggest hit to date and the first #1 by a British band in the US with a non-original song.

Eddie Vedder wrote "Black" inspired by a love that ended in a traumatic way. The song barely made it onto the Ten album because the label found it "too depressing," but it became one of Pearl Jam's most beloved songs.
