China intends on spending $75 trillion to transition to a carbon neutral economy. Ecological Civilization is the single most important ideological concept of the next century and almost nobody outside China understands it.

A major theoretical innovation from Chris Bambery, writing in Counterfire! "China is an imperialist power too, and has grown to rival US economic power by avoiding direct confrontation with America." So it turns out Lenin's thesis on imperialism and war is now null and void. China has developed a Bruce Lee type of imperialism, based on the art of fighting without fighting. A type of imperialism that involves never going to war; never engaging in economic coercion; never developing a global infrastructure of power projection; never imposing unilateral sanctions; never orchestrating coups, assassinations and proxy wars. In summary, it's a type of imperialism without any characteristics of imperialism. A remarkable philosophical development, taking the concept of the negation of the negation to dizzy new heights. Long live Marxism-Leninism-Bamberyism!

@mandate2049 In many ways, you're right, but not completely. Incomes are still too low in China so many technology goods are too expensive. And urbanization is still not high enough to fully justify that statement. But if oil crises collapse the Western economies, China will surpass them.

This is already the reality now. China’s standards of living are far higher than America’s.

China is best prepared for an energy crisis with its EV push, renewable surge, portfolio diversification and the world’s largest strategic reserve. Poor third world countries will get hit the hardest. Hope this will translate into a food crisis too and wipe out some pajeeets.

Is China's high-speed rail system unprofitable? Not if you consider the passengers' time to have value!

It looks like the current #silver price floor was around $67, unless there is a third attempt to smash through it. My guess is that the price now ascends.

@HeLiuLeo You do understand that the only way to alleviate poverty is to urbanize the country? The standard of living in the countryside isn't supposed to be high. That's the point of urbanization. A high living standard in rural areas will increase costs to the point of insolvency.

China has inequality but no one cares. People look at central Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and scream ‘CHINA’. They don’t even bother venturing out to look at Beijing’s shabby suburbs, let alone the rest of China - villages, towns, counties, before staging their mindless orientalist worships. It’s ridiculous.

Shenzhen offers hotel quality that’s far better than in the US at half the price, with no tipping. Why is it so cheap here?

@FurkanGozukara @HAPPY889123 BRICS isn't a real organization. It will just be China and Russia acting bilaterally. India is pretty much toast with the energy situation. It's just China and Russia. Iran is their army warrior. That's it.

If the US fails in Iran, the American Empire is finished. The Gulf states will realize they don't need US bases for security. The petrodollar will collapse, and the entire AI tech bubble will burst as the US loses its economic dominance to China and BRICS.

Cry more and wish harder. China will collapse if you keep up the wishing and crying.

The CCP loves to tout that they have “lifted millions out of poverty.” But the reality is much more complicated. Former CIA analyst Robert Suettinger reveals why the cracks in China’s Communist system go much deeper than you think: “They have [lifted millions out of poverty] as a result of the modernization of the Chinese economy, as a result of an enormous amount of foreign direct investment coming into China.” “You go anywhere in China, and you can see new buildings, new railroads, new urban development.” “What you don’t see is what Li Keqiang talked about.” “A long time ago, he said that in the Chinese population of 1.4 billion… at least 600 million people still live below the poverty line.” “We don’t see that part of China.” “That’s where the real Chinese live.” “Now, in this Chinese New Year… many of those people who worked in urban areas have gone back… to their home villages to celebrate the Chinese New Years.” “Many of them are not gonna be able to come back to the urban areas because there’s no jobs for them there.” “And the Chinese government doesn’t want you to know that either.” “So those people may have bought a one-way ticket back out to their home villages.” “I’m not trying to say it’s a myth.” “I’m not trying to say those people have not risen, but the numbers are not as impressive as you might want to think.”

@bubbleboi I sold out of memory before the post-iran run up, I got the timing wrong, clearly, but the idea that memory stocks will somehow be immune to global energy catastrophe strikes me as insane

@YEAST_USSR2 @LFriszt Or they could just wait and do nothing and pretend it's not happening, which is a lot less risky than nukes. They don't understand how their empire actually works

@LFriszt I wouldn't say anything yet. I think Iran has the US by the balls, and could ask for a lot. Problem is, if the US admits defeat, it's the end of the US empire and the petrodollar. They have no choice but to escalate with nukes, or go scorched earth on the entire middle east

I'm now very confident that the end of this war will be an outcome that satisfies no one, partisans on each side claiming total victory, and nothing else much changing. This is the new normal.

For Judaism to be seen as distinct from Zionism, there would have to be an active move to criticize Zionism and distance the religion from the state of Israel on the part of the major institutional structures that form the organized part of the religion. So far I haven't seen it
