And for that, they are being targeted. This is bigger than media houses. Today it’s The Standard. Tomorrow it’s every voice that dares to question authority. A country where the press is controlled is a country where citizens are blind. Kenyans must understand this moment clearly: if independent media falls, the public loses its shield. Corruption thrives. Abuse of power multiplies. Lies become policy. Stand with those who refuse to be bought. Stand with those who refuse to be silenced. Because when a government declares war on the media, it has already declared war on its own people.
