Gowon claimed he had a fever, which is why he mistakenly agreed to and signed the Aburi Accord. What an incompetent leader he must have been. Observe Ojukwu in this video at Aburi - he pretended to eat and drink without actually tasting anything because he knew what he went there for. Meanwhile, the supposedly feverish Gowon was busy gulping down and chewing everything like a glutton.

@AloyEjimakor @Alex_Barbir please you really need to look at the cause of the Nig civil war. It was also Mass slaughter of Igbo Christians in 1966 that led to the formation of the Aburi accord which was supposed to to bring a lasting peace in the region. U.K and Nig govt abandoned the accord

In his book, Gowon cast Ojukwu as the bad guy on #Biafra & Aburi. In this video, Ojukwu replied Gowon word for word, as if he knew what was to come.
