@KatharineStrunk @ryanrathman I am impressed. When my kids were that age and away, i do recall sitting on the floor with my husband watching Netflix and eating peanut butter out of a jar for dinner.

I miss my kids when they are away at camp. And also I very much enjoy the adult dinners ⁦@ryanrathman⁩ cooks for me when they are gone.

YES! Especially in organizations where conversations about struggles can be had with colleagues and substantive support offered when things get tough, like extensions on tenure clock and course relief. Real talk. I’ve seen it happen, but not the norm.

@WCastilloPhD I think so. But it takes REAL partnership and a willingness to have open and transparent communication with partner and family. And understanding and compassion when things are tough.
