@BamaSaltyMarine "We are desperately trying to find a reason to justify each and every shitty decision our orange leader takes. We got higher gas prices and more wars instead of low prices and no more wars. Its great, cause its 'for America'!" Nope. Its cult.

What so many fail to understand is that MAGA is not about Donald Trump. MAGA is about America. We the People were searching for someone, "anyone," willing to fight corruption and preserve freedom. We found that in Donald Trump. He is our voice. You see, it's not a cult. It's a revolution. Make America Great Again!

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch If she had wanted to hold out for that she couldve. Anyone who feels religiously obliged or wants to fight on for another reason can. But for some people that vague hope doesnt cut it cause the pain is just too much. I can respect that.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Im certain she and the people evaluating her were very aware of that. And yet it had no effect on her chronic pain. Once again you dismiss the professionals who assessed her in person to argue for a vague hope of meaningful recovery at an unknown point in the future.

Her name is Noelia Castillo and tomorrow she will be the first person to receive euthanasia for depression in Spain. She was living in a supervised center with unaccompanied minors when she was gang raped by them. Afterwards, she tried to unalive herself by jumping from a fifth floor. But she became paraplegic instead. She’s 25 years old and today is her last day alive. Praying she can feel Jesus love before tomorrow and changes her mind. 🙏🏻

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch They do. Thankfully. But there was no telling when that wouldve sufficed to meaningfully help her. And you argue to force her to suffer for what could be decades. That does not strike me as particularly empathetic.

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Medicine advances. Nerve function improves. Pain management changes. These are documented medical realities, not miracles. You've spent this whole conversation assuming her future was fixed when it wasn't.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch They did not for her. Fun how you keep dismissing her medical history and advocate for forcing her to suffer because maybe some day, against expert expectations, things may change. By what chance? godly intervention? Waiting for miracles. Surely nothing to do with religion.

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch You unbelievably condescending piece of work. You have no interest in engaging with what I'm actually saying. You'd rather psychoanalyze me than address a single argument I've made. Either engage like a man or shut up. Pain levels change over time. That's not supernatural.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch It very clearly isnt irrelevant. And that was obvious before you came up with "taking away her god given life". Its up to you to ask yourself whether its a good idea go apply your religious standards to others even if it requires dismissing experts and the woman's free will

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch That apparently she gained some limited mobility doesnt mean the chronic pain goes away. Waiting for wonders while disrespecting another person's will to not suffer is very much in line with religious argument patterns.

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Psychiatric impairment, medical uncertainty, her own legs proving the prognosis wrong — don't require faith to be true. Dismissing them because of where you think they came from is a logical fallacy.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Im absolutely in favor of better crisis intervention. But I can accept that some people are subjected to such an amount of physical and chronical pain with no expectation of recovery that no amount of counseling will make their life bearable.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Aaand were back at religion based thinking. One determination was that there is no realistic expectation of her chronic pain to disappear. So your solution is what? Let her suffer against her will regardless hoping for some kind of miracle to happen? How very compassionate.

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch I have no respect for a doctor willing to administer euthanasia to a 25-year-old woman. I question his morality and his ability to "do no harm". Your job as a physician is to treat the suffering, not eliminate the sufferer.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch That reference is enough given that your other arguments (including ignoring the involved expertise) are consistent with the way religious people go about this topic. Not my first rodeo. It appears you haven't yet reflected on how religion impacts your thinking.

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch All I said was 'God-given life.' That's it. That's the only thing approaching religion that I even touched on. How about you address anything of substance instead of fabricating hogwash? Why are you advocating for suicide?

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Wheres your respect for the professionals who actually got to meet and evaluate her. You keep pretending this was a simple process when it wasnt. Im arguing for a dignified way out from irrevocable suffering. While you want to force people to suffer.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Your stance just leads to the very same people jumping off buildings, overdosing on sleeping pills or shooting themselves - all things that regularly go wrong, make it even worse and cause additional trauma not just for them but also for other people.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch I do believe people have agency and, when confronted with a perspective of severe suffering with no realistic chance of easement, deserve to have the choice to end their lives on their own terms and in a dignified way.

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch I'm not making religion based argments. All three of her conditions are well-known to significantly impair cognitive function. The government should not have made that judgement. The fact that you can't recognize this is an indictment against you.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch The state made no argument in favor of killing her. It simply allowed her to proceed according to her free will after evaluation. But it's very telling that you keep trying to negate her freedom of choice cause you cant take the fact she didn't adhere to your religious ways

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch This has nothing to do with religion. The only reason I keep mentioning mental competency is that you people keep arguing that because of her conition she was fit to die. It's the argument the state made in favor of killing her.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch You don't value life. You value the state of being alive for the sake of it regardless of the amount of suffering included. And that is very much a standard andhering to the weird Christian suffering fetish with 0 respect of the decisions of the actual person.

@peorg @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch Intravenous administration of drugs. Whether she pushed a button or not (highly doubtful), real medical professionals stuck a needle in her arm, gave her lethal drugs, and killed her. Why are you people so bent on advocating for suicide?

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch According to the court she was able to make conscious decisions as an adult. Sich decisions require an evaluation by an actual mental health expert. You thinking you know better while making religion-based arguments is ... quite rich.

@CertDoc @jj_Jamesbaron @realHolyLamb @AdaLluch If you arrive an a similar situation as she did and want to continue suffering to adhere to your religious standard then youre free to do so. But hiding your religious expectations behind "oh she was mentally impaired and shouldnt have allowed to decide" is just hypocrisy.
