What are your first thoughts when you see this breakfast

I was on the antiracist demonstration against Far Right Tommy Robinson from start to finish – including the police kettle on Whitehall. Some thoughts: 1. There were not millions on the TR demo. He is, and always has been, a pocket-sized Pinocchio. 2. The turnout was higher than the police figure of 100k. It was the size of a big Palestine solidarity demo – around 250–300k. 3. It was, without doubt, the biggest Far Right demonstration in British history. 4. I’ve been saying for weeks it would be. Robinson has been doing the podcast circuit to build it, and of course it’s been backed by the richest man on the planet. 5. Tommy Robinson works for the interests of the super-rich. Musk wants a divided Britain, as do the super-rich broadly, so they can keep getting away with profiting from gross inequality. 6. Musk doesn’t care about free speech – Tesla is the only major American car manufacturer whose workers aren’t represented by a union – but then, fascists don’t like unions. 7. Nor do Robinson and many of his supporters, who sought to target antiracists exercising their free speech at the other end of Whitehall. 8. The violence from Robinson’s street thugs was significant: openly clashing with police, throwing bottles and flares, and more. 9. There should have been far more than nine arrests. Of course, Robinson’s supporters aren’t pensioners with Palestine signs – so the mass of those guilty of violent disorder live to fight another day. The bottom line is this: we have to turn the tide on the Far Right radicalisation happening in Britain. And with foreign billionaires backing them, it is not going to be easy. We will have to do things differently, and be different, to mobilise the antiracist majority in Britain. But doing nothing is not an option.

King Charles is a woeful shadow of his mother. He is a weak man, petulant and is severely conflicted. He has always been this way and Queen Elizabeth 2nd knew he would be a disaster as the Monarch, since he was a disaster for most of his life. He is a self- absorbed narcissist and will do a great deal of damage to the Monarchy, from which it may never recover. The Commonwealth was precious to his mother and she fought hard to keep it together. It is now crumbling before him, because the Commonwealth simply does not have the respect for Charles that they had for his mother.

It is quite astonishing that you have no problem with an adult male human working in a women's lingerie section and being "on hand" to fit a young girl's or any female's bra. If you knew anything about bra fitting, which you clearly don't, you would know that this can be quite a personally invasive experience. This has nothing to do with being phobic, but has everything to do with the protection of women and girls from unwanted encroachment by males. A point that has quite recently been upheld by the Supreme Court. Men wanting to dress like women is not the issue, crack on I say but there is a line to be drawn. Whatever makes you happy. I wonder, though, would you be happy with a biological male assisting your daughter in such a private matter or being present in your daughter's changing room at say a swimming pool? Or a biological male being present in a women's toilet with your daughter present? You are another individual that does not listen and is all too quick to wave the flag of inclusivity without thinking about the ramifications of what you are advocating. @jkrowling is NOT transphobic. She never has been. It is about the important principle of protecting women's and girl's safety and their safe spaces. This is a succinctly different concern and regularly conflated with being against trans people in general. There is nothing "Far Right" about it. It is a fundamental personal safety issue from the very clear danger such permissiveness of the issue creates. Hence the Supreme Court upheld the right to female safe spaces. To be clear, I am not anti trans, I just objectively believe in lines in the sand. Biology is not fluid, that is an absolute fact.

It's really quite astounding how many men are willing to state publicly that mothers shouldn't teach their teenage daughters to say 'no' to male strangers offering to help with their bras. @DavidLyddon

JD Vance gave a speech to European leaders today that has quite literally destroyed transatlantic relations. This was a disgusting, arrogant insult to every European and British leader. It was a MASSIVE mistake that WILL hurt America. If the intention was to wake Europe up, then mission accomplished, but he’s just blown Trump’s Ukraine peace deal completely out of the water. Europe now sees Trump as aligning with Russia and that represents an existential threat to Europe. He has completely overplayed his hand. This is a 20 minute video.
