Folks, something seems to be happening... We show that our theory of gravity is valid down to the shortest distances arxiv.org/abs/2402.17844. and that it can explain the expansion of the universe and galactic rotation without dark matter or dark energy arxiv.org/abs/2402.19459 1/
Wow, the latest draft of Daniel Gottesman's book on quantum error correction is available!
A must-read for anyone interested in this field:

If you're a PhD student in quantum computing and interested in working with our team in 2024 as a student researcher (i.e., an internship that's usually ~3 months and in-person at our office), please apply here: google.com/about/careers/…
I received sad news that Mary Beth Ruskai passed away Sept. 27, 2023 at her home in Vermont. She was a titan of quantum information & mathematical physics, most known for her joint proof of strong subadditivity of quantum entropy. She was a strong promoter of women in science.
New paper with Ryan Babbush, @DominicWBerry, Rolando Somma, and Nathan Wiebe: An exponential quantum speedup for a classical problem about simulating exponentially many classical oscillators (e.g., masses connected by springs).
