Been back in the studio recording another drama I've written with BBC Audio Drama North. The big buzz I already had has been boosted and blasted to another planet because of this brilliant cast. And of course @Nadia_Molinari, @Lorna_ClaireN and the whole team!

For a moment I felt myself concerned about a possible penalty which wasn't given to Burnley. But before I could even go back to watch a replay, I remembered that whether or not that penalty was given, scored, and whether we won, lost or drew... it makes no matter of difference.

Hi, @AlanPaceBFC. Where have the standards gone? There were more mistakes in the programme today. Obviously we're atrocious on the pitch so rectifying that should take priority. But there are hundreds of Burnley fans who would write for the club with skill, passion and accuracy.

Parker? Slagging off supporters? Again? Get him binned. The stadium wasn't edgy. But even if it was... we've been consistently shite for months. Relegated since Xmas due to inept management and out-of-depth tactics... all to a theme tune of drivel and excuses.

I don't hugely care about whether Burnley get relegated or not. Other than, you know, the finances involved and the existence of the club. But what I want is seriously lacking in this side. A bit of identity and oomph. (And the proper badge and team that doesn't play in purple.)

Burnley are going to be relegated as one of the worst Premier League sides ever and knocked out of the cup by third-tier Mansfield Town. But, insipid performance after pathetic performance, dreadful result after dire result, at least we'll always have the glory of Palace away.
