The funniest thing about this is that the left wing opposition is actaully defending Martin here. Martin: "Our reckless immigration policies have created a housing and homeless crisis, it's all our fault" Left wing opposition: NOOOOOO, BOOOOOOO, AHHHHHHHH!!!!
gript@griptmedia

Taoiseach Micheál Martin tells the Dáil that homelessness is largely driven by migration, resulting in uproar from the Opposition: "Less than 50% [of homeless] are now Irish citizens - migration has impacted hugely on homelessness. The facts speak for themselves."

No, Prime Minister. You could have banned hate matches. You could have banned pro-Iranian regime groups. You could have deported disgustingly antisemitic imams. You could have cracked down on mosques spewing Jew hatred. Instead you introduced an “anti-Muslim hate” definition.

I am deeply concerned about the terrorist attack that took place today. This is not an isolated incident. It is the latest in a spate of utterly vile attacks on the Jewish community. I’ve just chaired an emergency COBR meeting and tomorrow I’ll be bringing together criminal justice agencies to ensure we have effective and swift justice.

Mr. K F - Never Give Up 🇮🇪
A so-called democratic govt that refuses to listen to the Will of the people & just goes ahead & does what it likes, while creating legislations to benefit itself, is not a properly functioning democratic govt, it's a de facto dictatorship that masquerades as a democratic govt.⚠️

Evidence from polls, protests, government actions, & public discourse indicates that many Irish people are experiencing immigration fatigue, that rapid inflows, especially of asylum seekers, have strained housing, services, & social cohesion beyond sustainable levels.

🇮🇪🚨 We were saying for years that immigration was the main factor driving homelessness in Ireland. The same politicians who are now gaslighting on it spent years calling us "far-right" & "racist" for saying this, and are now grudgingly forced to admit it.

I just listened to @roisinmurphy and it’s genuinely heartbreaking. She puts into words something many people feel but are afraid to say, that we’ve reached a point where critical thinking and real debate are being stifled, not always by rules, but by fear. When she talks about self censorship, or what I’d call the chilling effect, it hits home. That quiet pressure to hold back, to soften your views, or to say nothing at all. It’s not just coming from one place, it’s a mix of government, media, and social media, all shaping an environment where stepping outside the minority accepted line can come at a cost. Having worked in media for over 30 years, I’ve seen the shift myself. There were always lines, but in the last decade the change has been dramatic. The space for robust, honest debate feels narrower than ever. Those with nothing to lose, or those positioned on what’s presented as “the right side” of an argument, can speak freely. But when your livelihood depends on public perception, the stakes are very different. One wrong sentence, one unpopular opinion, and everything you’ve built can be on the line. Róisín Murphy is speaking for a lot of people, not just in media, but across the arts and beyond, who feel they’ve lost their voice, not because they have nothing to say, but because the risk of saying it has become too high.
Róisín Murphy@roisinmurphy

“It’s not the first time in history artists have faced oppression and it won’t be the last. We should support each other, come together and defend our shared space, our territory, the place where imagination can roam free. Because if they come for one of us they will eventually come for all. “ On Monday 26/4/26 I gave a speech at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster to help launch toolkit.freedominthearts.com Please follow/donate to @Freedom_in_Arts they are doing VITAL work for all of us.”

Switzerland will be voting on a referendum whether to limit the population to 10 million people. This will effectively close the borders and limit how many will be allowed to migrate there. Now the latest poll has the yes side winning at 52%

Did any newspaper or radio programme report on the Taoiseach’s transgender comments?? More politicians need to stand up and call out this woke nonsense. Kids cannot change their gender. The Gender Recognition Act is a mockery Failure to call this out is spineless. 👏 @SenatorKeogan

A birth certificate should be an official record that accurately reflects the biological parents of a child. It shouldn't be a record to validate human traffickers who buy babies. It shouldn't be a record for fetish driven men who want to lie about being women. @Keir_Starmer
