The ball is in the air and hasn’t quite gotten to the receiver yet, while the defender has his back turned, doesn’t know where the ball is, hasn’t located it, isn’t playing the ball, and basically tackles the receiver’s arms before the ball gets there. The screen-shot shows it where the defender’s right arm has made contact and “tackled” the receiver’s left arm, While the defender’s left arm has made contact and is draped over the receiver’s right arm prior to the ball getting there. It’s clear-cut defensive pass interference. Zero questions asked.

I can't stop watching this. Is this the most erratic outfield throw we've ever seen in MLB? I can't even fathom what Gurriel is attempting here. This is wild. Did Gurriel get the Henry Rowengartner superpower? I'm in awe.
