@primarycatdad @AuthorialGail i mean here is a population comfortable and set on reform and another who views the situation as intolerable

Interesting differences between the attitudes of east coast U.S. settlers and frontier settlers
English

@primarycatdad @AuthorialGail what is a reform if not a policing action, if the police fail, the vigilantes step up
English

@AuthorialGail @primarycatdad resolving contradictions vs kicking the can down the road
English

@AuthorialGail @primarycatdad yeah got some homies theorizing this aspect, that settler violence (or really, any oppressing class) comes typically when killings are the path of least resistance towards handling mass contradiction
English

@MenschMunch @Workshops4Gaza tho the responsibility of say a new afrikan can be accompanying settler labor and policing them on behalf of palestine
English

@MenschMunch @Workshops4Gaza it mostly serves to narrow in on Americans of the US because contextually American applies to other states in the hemisphere too
definitely most populations in the US need some apology to Palestine so it's not unique to white settlers
English

if someone said this to me irl i'd probably be in prison for at least the next 5 years, 20 if my whims succeeded

Calling Haiti Black Israel is so funny. Its also a function of the deep interminable fear that the plantation will end
English

@primarycatdad @AuthorialGail and like the aristocracy, nobody can say they don't *labor* to keep these things, but such labor is far less input than they get as output as exploiters
the aristocracies suited up for war-making to defend their luxury, it was quite literally their only job
English

@primarycatdad @AuthorialGail this is once again why labor *aristocracy* is a really appropriate analogy, aristocracies gamble the lives of the masses they own out of preservation of their own level of "normal", oh how quickly they adapt to luxury
English

@AuthorialGail i mean Smith approached this with "africans dont wear as much clothes as us because they don't need to" and Marx with "at some point shoes become a minimum requirement even if they aren't strictly necessary"
English

@AuthorialGail the next major adjustment to political economy will need to be "habit" and "convenience" as explanations for wages and therefore living standards of the imperialist populations
English
