that’s not how any of this works, and it’s not difficult to point that out.
EOs are directives for fed agencies on how to enforce (or not) particular laws or rules. They are not royal decrees that change fed or state laws at the president’s whims. jesus fucking christ

@Jon29914867 There’s already been litigation, no? NCAA lost 9-0 at SCOTUS. It violates anti-trust law. It’s still trying to fight NIL via rule changes instead of working to pass nationwide legislation to regulate it.

UPDATE: Trump EO would be effective Aug. 1. It will not impact the basketball portal, sources tell @YahooSports. EO directs NCAA to update rules by Aug. 1 “to the maximum extent permitted by law to bring order and stability to the landscape in certain areas, including transfers.”
