With an increasing number of discussions around the BIP54 “Consensus Cleanup” soft fork proposal, I helped put together an information site about BIP54. “Bitcoin has four known vulnerabilities that have gone unfixed for 15 years. BIP54, "Consensus Cleanup", proposes four narrowly-scoped changes to address these issues in Bitcoin's consensus rules that date back to the original version of Bitcoin in 2009.” bip54.org



Going to start spending time on this personally - seems like we all need to solve it sooner rather than later.

Silent payments is not just a new approach to static payment codes. It's the first serious contender to improve the address derivation system since HD wallets in 2013. HD wallets were a big win over single keys, and silent payments could be a similar leap forward.


35 million UK iPhone users now have to provide a credit card or ID just to use their phone normally. The recent update mentioned new emojis & updates to Apple Music, only for users to be confronted with an Age Verification screen. Apple said UK law requires this. It doesn't.

we both know that isn't how this works if i proposed a BIP, where would it go? instantly shut down. for a BIP to go through, one of about 5 people have to champion it. we both know who they are. no BIP has gone through without them in the last decade. what happened to BIP360?
