Allegri, Tare, Furlani & Moncada have been fired. A major restructuring is underway. Wrote about the systemic unravelling of Milan this season, capturing some telling stats that illustrate the scale of collapse. bit.ly/anatomyacmrk

@rajathkumar So they fired 3 people in significant positions and didn’t replace them first instead they decide to hire a coach first??? Without a sporting director? No sporting director no CEO?????

Milan didn’t pursue Glasner because of his fallout with Krosche; signed Amorim instead. Now, Krosche has decided to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt. Hard to believe that Milan are run by serious professionals. Even amateurs wouldn’t get caught with their pants down like this.

@rajathkumar Hanno preso un allenatore senza prendere prima il direttore sportivo. Ora quindi il direttore sportivo si ritrova un allenatore che non ha scelto, e viceversa

@sieroffka That's entirely possible. Moretto has washed his hands clean of the reports he previously shared.

@rajathkumar RedBird is just messing with us. It’s the same old story: they leaked the news to Romano and Moretto, who act as spokespeople for the clubs. Amateurism at its finest. #SaveACMilan!

@slifersd Yes, it seems like a trick they have pulled in the past as well, when appointing coaches.

@rajathkumar All of this is just a dog and pony show to set up the eventual promotion of Kirioski. They know they are going to catch a lot of negative press if they just promote him, so they are going to act like they "had to do it, cause they ran out of time"

@rajathkumar Basic things you learn in management is having a succession plan. You fired 3 in critical roles without having any plans to replace them. Milan is run by idiots no professionals would do that

@Kaus_Pandey17 It’s an absolute mess. Alarming, given Cardinale’s (self-claimed) pedigree and obsession to win.

@rajathkumar It hurts and I'm not even a Milan fan. No club deserves to run like this, when the so-called advisor to Cardinale is chilling in the US.

Milan may be replacing one dogmatic coach with another. Amorim was special at Sporting, but his stubbornness at United mirrors what Allegri demonstrated at Milan. Against that backdrop, this is an interesting if not puzzling appointment. My piece: bit.ly/AmorimMilan

#RaakhOnPrime isn't a crime drama. It's a horror story yanked from the grisly archives of history. Prosit Roy has delivered possibly the best true-crime OTT series since the Emmy-winning Delhi Crime. My review of this searing, terrifying show. bit.ly/raakhreview

Markus Krosche is Rangnick Jr in many ways, took over from him at Leipzig in 2019, worked with Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt. Excellent eye for talent, superb at elevating player valuation, believes in a sporting philosophy. Perhaps not the ‘control freak’ that Rangnick is.

@MilanVerse Yes, they probably didn’t want to handover complete control to Rangnick.

@rajathkumar Ideally we would’ve wanted a total reset with Rangnick as the TD and someone like Krosche as the SD, but if there’s and overlap in their roles, then ig we can only go for one of them

Amorim famously claimed in a press conference that he joined United to be the Manager and not the Head Coach, when his title was evidently the latter. For someone who wants a lot of control, it’s surprising that he is open to joining Milan where he will only be the Head Coach.

Balogun is coming off an impressive season with Monaco. He had 17 G/A in 30 Ligue 1 games, and 5 G in 10 UCL games. His form is continuing into the World Cup, expect him to be among the goals.

WHO IS MARKUS KROSCHE ? Krosche is the current Sporting Director at Eintracht Frankfurt has been in the role since 2021. A player who played mostly for SC Paderborn, Krosche became a director at RB Leipzig between 2018-2021. It was here that he signed Julian Naggelsmann as coach and players like Upamecano, Sabitzer and brought in players like Szoboszalai before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt At Frankfurt he joined Oliver Glasner and won the 2022 Europa League in his first season. Despite Glasner leaving Krosche has been a master at scouting and upkeeping the value of the squad. Signed players like Kolo Muani, Ekitike, Omar Marmoush, Nathaniel Brown etc for only €30m while selling them for €300m. Despite selling players Frankfurt have maintained their competitiveness qualifying for the Champions League twice in the last 5 years where they finished third in 24/25 season.

A generational talent is available for a bargain fee, yet Europe's elite remain uninterested? Barcelona somehow chose to spend nearly €80m on Anthony Gordon instead. A grave injustice for one of the game's most technically gifted wingers.
