This is what LeCun has been arguing for years: intelligence isn't about generating text. It's about building world models, making predictions, and learning from prediction error. V-JEPA 2 is the first public model that makes this tangible. AMI Labs is betting $1B it's the future.

What's wild: the AI has zero concept of "fear" or "horror." It's purely measuring prediction failure. But the surprise spikes line up almost perfectly with the moments that scare humans. Our nervous system might work the same way โ€” predicting the next moment and reacting when we're wrong.

I built an AI "surprise detector" that watches horror trailers and measures when the AI flinches. It uses Meta's V-JEPA 2 world model - the same architecture behind Yann LeCun's new $1B startup AMI Labs. Here's what it looks like and how it works ๐Ÿ‘‡

so if everyone is running openclaw agents - each using a SaaS seat to get real work done, is this just a hyper bull case for seat-based SaaS?
malinvestment.jpeg@malinvested

Of course that's your contention. You're a first-time SaaS bear. You just got finished listening to some podcast, Dario on Dwarkesh, probably. Now you think itโ€™s the end of white collar work and seat-based pricing is screwed. You're gonna be convinced of that til tomorrow when you get to โ€œSomething Big is Happeningโ€. Then youโ€™ll install ClawdBot on a Mac Mini, vibe code a dashboard on top of a postgres database and say weโ€™re all just a couple ralph loops away from building a Salesforce competitor. Thatโ€™s gonna last until next week when you discover context graphs, and then you're gonna be talking about how the systems of record will be disintermediated by an agentic layer and reposting OAI marketing graphics. โ€œWell, as a matter of fact, I won't, because ultimately the application layer is just โ€ฆ.โ€ The application layer is just business logic on top a CRUD database. You got that from Satyaโ€™s appearance on the BG2 pod, December 2024, right? Yeah, I saw that too. Were you gonna plagiarize the whole thing for us? Do you have any thoughts of your own on this matter? Or...is that your thing? You get into the replies of anyone posting a SaaS ticker. You watch some podcast and then pawn it off as your own idea just to impress some VCs and embarrass some anon whoโ€™s long SaaS? See the sad thing about a guy like you is in a couple years you're gonna start doing some thinking on your own and you're gonna come up with the fact that there are two certainties in life. One: don't do that. And two: you dropped thirty grand on Mac Minis and LLM API calls to come to the same conclusion you couldโ€™ve got for free by following a handful of VC accounts.

before substrate by altrym .com: agent spends 2 minutes figuring out every new website after substrate: agent just KNOWS it's like my bot graduated from "new intern" to "senior employee who's seen everything" overnight #openclaw
