Why is the Iran War peace summit not happening in Delhi? A summit that's a defining moment in 21st century's geopolitics.
1) India is friends with Iran, America, Israel, entire GCC and Russia, and now China too.
2) India has huge interests in the region. Of all kinds.
3) India has a strong history of international leadership, right from the 1950s.
4) India has aligned with the US and done everything Trump demanded in trade terms.
5) India's stature, size and strength warrant it.
So, what went wrong? Why did India lose this opportunity? Why is it absent from the game?

Dr Priyam (and few like minded individuals) should pool their resources and start a multispeciality hospital with fully equipped ICU. All facilities should be provided so as to not get trapped in CPA. It will be a huge social service.

Even as a doctor, I feel this deeply. Two years ago, I advised my cousin to choose a private hospital for diarrhea because she’s a germaphobe and I thought she’d be more comfortable there. She was discharged three days later with a ₹64k bill. While certain costs like better nurse-to-patient ratios, better infrastructure are justifiable, the lack of transparency is predatory. I saw firsthand the inflated medicine prices, unnecessary vitamin panels, and a CT abdomen that wasn't clinically indicated. As a medicine doctor, I caught the overuse of antibiotics and redundant testing, but most families don’t have that luxury. Corporate hospitals are increasingly becoming a financial sinkhole!

Read this carefully.
In many hospitals, the moment you question the bill, you become the problem.
Ask why medicines are charged at full MRP.
Ask why extra doctors who are not related to your patient’s case are visiting and charging fees.
Ask why so many consumables are added.
Ask anything about the bill and suddenly security starts watching you.
Hospitals have boards everywhere: Do not misbehave with doctors and staff.
But where is the board that says: Do not misbehave with patients and their families?
When families ask questions, security or bouncers are called.
You are already mentally stressed, emotionally broken, arranging money, and then you are treated like a criminal for asking for a bill explanation.
In ICU, one person is fighting for life.
Outside ICU, the family is fighting the system.
Healthcare should run on trust.
But trust cannot survive where questions are punished.

Healthcare in India is becoming a money making machine. A friend’s grandmother is in ICU for the last 4 days. Daily medicine cost alone is around 40–50K. He is not allowed inside ICU. He cannot see the treatment. He cannot see which medicines are actually being used. He can only stand outside and keep paying. Medicines go from pharmacy to ICU. Families don’t know what is used, what is not. Maybe some goes back from the back door. But there is no transparency. Only bills. Private hospitals know families won’t argue when their loved one is in ICU. This is not just treatment. For many families, this is financial destruction in the name of healthcare.

Two years ago, I had bronchitis. Due to antibiotics, I developed stomach ache, was asked to get hospitalized. No fever, oxygen above normal. Just coughing & stomach ache (that subsided within hours of injection). I asked doctor to discharge me & the doctor would scare me by saying "Abhi discharge kar diya toh do din mein wapis hospitalize karna padega". I was kept hospitalized for 5 days (his plan was longer, I literally begged for a discharge). Then doctor kept medicating me for around 1.5 months with steroids & various other medications which would cause me more side effects without helping me much. One day I decided to just not continue the treatment and I recovered on my own in a week. The side effects were fairly permanent. Eventually I went to another doctor who said I was over-medicated. Ofc it will be next to impossible to claim medical negligence in this country and this isnt against medical community as such but what Dr Priyam says isnt wrong.

Everytime you crib about Private Healthcare and it’s cost - ensure to ask your MP/MLA with same intensity on the lack of good affordable govt hospitals.
They are real ‘Looteras’
If they say - they realised funds - then ask IAS officer responsible for implementing- they are next biggest chor.

Decent Inductions that earlier cost Rs 2,000 - Rs 3,000 are now priced between Rs 5,000 - Rs 6,000.
