This past June, 7 yr old Ryan & his 3 yr old sister Kaitlyn Chliek lost their father, Matt to brain cancer. Throughout his treatments, Matt would bring Ryan to #isles games, where they shared a special bond. Today, Jon Ledecky & friends gave Ryan a surprise visit

Besides Schaefer, the only "most improved" player to me is DeAngelo. Everyone else stagnated or didn't improve.

When the rookie is considered improved over anyone on the roster, there are serious talent deficiencies on the #isles roster

@Ghostmoney44281 @CasualBravesFan It doesn’t help when you DFA a guy off a 5 rbi game and then Murphy goes 0-4 with a dp 2 ks 0-2 on challenges in the first inning and allows a stolen base. I want him to be awesome but since the all star break of his first season here he’s been horrendous.

Also you have a core which includes vezina finalist in their prime and Schaefer on his ELC + DeBoer - they aren't rebuilding

It’s crazy the Atlanta Braves have been so good when their rotation has been in flux. Lopez was suppose to be a good playoff worthy start. He only made 5 starts before being bumped to the bullpen Fuentes made one start and got bumped he’s been optioned and back up already Strider missed the first month and went 3IP his first start and didn’t impress anyone including himself Holmes has flirted with disaster and it has started to catch up with him and he’s probably headed to the bullpen Ritchie has been solid but the underlying metrics don’t scream ready to hold down a rotation spot No Waldrep yet No Schwelly yet The health of Chris Sale and no major regression from Bryce Elder is important. Strider needs to find it and be a solid mid rotation arm for a while. Also, if Fuentes, Reylo and Holmes/Perez are going to be in the bullpen Weiss has to be able to use them accordingly. Weiss not being able to use someone like Perez for multiple innings after Strider in Colorado bc he “might” need to start forced Weiss to burn 6 relievers in a get away day game in a series they already had locked up and in turn you get what happened in Seattle. It’ll he interesting to see how things play out.
