There’s something so special about bringing your ideas to life, truly think about how blessed you are to see something so vividly in your mind and then have the courage to go out in the world and create it

@anokariver And you’ll always find a ‘better’ time to do said thing which usually becomes never because of the continuous loop these actions have you stuck in

Making excuses for not taking action on things you know you’d enjoy like “oh but it just started raining so it’s not ideal circumstances for my nature walk anymore” or “oh the dress I was going to wear to the party doesn’t fit how I wanted so I’ll just stay home” will slowly become a way to allow the lifeforce to be drained out of you because there’s always going to be something that could be more ideal

we often overlook the miracle of human resilience. the courage to endure, the strength to hope, and the power of a simple "awakening" can redefine life.

It’s so funny how men’s solution to most problems is “just don’t think about it too much”, and women’s immediate reaction is to think and talk about it too much

People are surprised when others are quick to put up boundaries but to those who do, they’ve learned that it’s a necessity to do so or else people will act as if they can do any and everything without consequences

@bronzeageshawty This!! And it eliminates the decision fatigue aspect of deciding what to eat every day. Honourable mention for sweet potatoes, they go with everything and are so nutritious

@buridansridge The art of noticing goes a long way, truly paying attention to the details of a person and acknowledging their methods of processing the world around them. Those are the ‘I see you’ moments that often speak louder than words and make the other person feel seen and understood

Downtime for men is a form of self-care that ensures internal coherence through uninterrupted recalibration. When a man loves you, he is attuned to you - he is both consciously and subconsciously protective of you, in addition to his own needs. Unlike most women, men tend to feel more emotional affection while away than through non-stop unrelenting presence because it allows them to immerse themselves in their adoration for you without being on guard. This is when men yearn and fall harder, for absence creates contrast. Reciprocating his love is not only to comprehend this, but to show your unbridled ravenous love upon his return. This means truly appreciating him and not making him feel as though he is being punished for taking a breather or engaging in self-honouring at a pace that feels organic to him. He will sense the genuineness of your respect, and if not, your dissatisfaction. To love a man well is to understand his unspoken cycles and rhythms, to anticipate what he requires, and to care for him in the way he prefers - including offering what he needs even when he may not explicitly ask for it. Aside from our well-being, men carry so much within, and momentary reprieve is a sanctuary we can so easily provide.

I bet you that many women don’t realise just how absurdly affectionate it is to the man when the woman sees him off unbegrudgingly into his alone time and leaves him undisturbed, not making him feel rushed to end it to go back to her. when he does come back he’ll express toward her a level of affection she never saw before. might be a little hard for the woman to grasp this because she’ll initially think he wants what she wants. incisive and artistic as ever lauren. nothing new for you.

@lichthauch This is especially true when you’ve been told you’re that person for other people and then you experience this phenomenon for yourself, someone reading you the way you read others. And it’s particularly special because you feel so seen, it catches you off guard in the best way

There are people who know nothing about psychology or philosophy and within ten minutes of talking to them you feel completely naked, not because they ask anything deep, they are just there and that is enough to undress you. someone can spend years reading about the human soul and then meet a guy in a warehouse who knows more about people than every book on the shelf, and its in his face. because a face that truly gets people doesnt look intelligent or kind, it looks finished. like someone who has been burned clean and there is nothing left to defend. thats why children walk straight to them, children dont want your answers they want your absence of bullshit, and you cannot fake that. you can fake intelligence, you can fake compassion, you can fake calm, but you cannot fake the finishedness. either its there or it isnt.

Not every new thing you try is going to fail, but every endeavour has an absolute chance of failing absolutely. The real question is whether these possibilities will discourage you, and that should determine whether you should proceed.

Never understood why people are afraid of admitting they don’t know something. It could be because they place so much importance on how they’re perceived by others. But the irony is that by claiming you know something when you really don’t, you signal willful ignorance.

It’s the times where I’ve been so in the moment, that the best things come out of it but I’m not even aware of what I experienced until after the fact. This goes to show that what you need, will find you regardless of how badly you want things to go your way. Life surprises you

A scary reality that we all face at one point or another is the struggle of not doing purposeful work. It affects your psyche more than you think. Seeking purpose in an area that occupies so much of your time and energy is important for your psychological state in the long run

@zachpogrob Maybe if you didn’t go to college, you wouldn’t have had the struggles that shaped the way you thought back then which inevitably led you to where you are now. It’s so true that we really don’t need permission but our young minds were under the impression that we did back then

College was the biggest mistake of my life 5 years undergrad/pre-med I wish I had myself now to take myself past under wing and be like-- no you can do all this other stuff you're better at, you don't need a degree, you don't need permission But oh well

A hill I will die on, now more than ever: Traditional college education is dead. Go for networking if you’d like and to “find yourself” But if you’re going to learn, you’re wasting every dime you spend.

It’s a gift that the world is a mirror and an even bigger gift when you realize everything that it’s reflecting is yourself. A reflection offers the opportunity to know yourself, to look at yourself, to see what your deeper subconscious thoughts are. And the ability to change it.
