In 2026, AI doesn't just answer questions, it takes actions. Agentic AI now moves money and updates databases across your APIs. Without a human-led framework, this is a massive operational risk. Join us in this upcoming webinar to find out more: youtube.com/live/da2VnBLDy…

🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING TECH NEWS 🚨🚨🚨 Salesforce shutting down Heroku enterprise sales! The product is now End of Sale (EOS) for enterprise customers. I’ve confirmed this multiple contacts at salesforce with layoffs and role changes across Heroku. This is the end of an era, and it's because of AI, let me explain. I was amounts the first users and advocates of Heroku. When it came out it was revolutionary and spawned the develolment careers of thousands of developers learning how to "just launch" something. Heroku's "git push to deploy" was a sea change and a fantastic deployment process. Sadly, over the past years growth must have been stalling in the enterprise space. I believe this is because Heroku just did not adapt to the changing times. Over the decades, $25 per month has gotten you the same server with one dyno, and 512mb of RAM per month. Sure the actual compute behind their dyno has maybe improved, but the ram and lack of flexibility in the stack has just driven enterprise clients in other directions. Heroku's promise was "we take care of the stack" and they charged a premium to do so, however with the rise of agentic help, the writing is on the wall that these sorts of features will be maintained by fleets of agents, not fleets of support engineers. Clients just weren't willing to pay the premium for this benefit to use Heroku because it would force them into certain stacks or infrastructure that was not optimum for their use case. Clients want flexibility and reliability AND low maintenance cost. Heroku only consistently delivered on one of three of those and now they've paid the price. This is devastating for the Heroku team, there was a lot of excitement from them last year and it really felt like things were starting to explode and go in the right direction, but fundamentally the sales didn't meet expectations. If you are an enterprise customer on Heroku you need to start thinking about migrations, if you need help, get in touch with @eSquareDesign and the team at @reinteractive, they are Salesforce connectivity specialist and are the experts.
