Dieghard MAGAt Craig Scott Valdez is a 36-year-old former Alaska GOP legislative staffer was arrested by the FBI in February 2026 on federal child sex trafficking and exploitation charges.
Valdez served as the chief of staff to Republican state Senator George Rauscher. He had worked in Rauscher's office since 2021 before being arrested at the Juneau airport
A federal grand jury indicted Valdez on four counts, including sex trafficking of children, sexual exploitation of children, coercion and enticement of children, and creating child sexual abuse material.
Federal prosecutors claim Valdez used Snapchat to groom, entice, and exploit juvenile females in Alaska. In one documented incident from October 2025, he allegedly picked up a minor from her family's home and took her to his house for sexual exploitation.
