@georgiedent I maintain that the Moccona I had as my first coffee after pregnancy was the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life.

Small side note. The joy of being able to eat after the fasting necessary for certain medical procedures is real. I had the most delicious lunch an hour ago and I am still so happy.

@gemcarey A brave article, thank you for sharing. Australia’s maternity (and extended health) system is both wonderful and woefully and blatantly wrong in many ways.

RE THE SAT PAPER Please know I am fine and thanks to an amazing friend I live with this guy and yes he is genetically my son because I know that’s the next question people always ask me. The point is that it all happens here, in this healthcare system.

The days of awkward uncomfortable pap tests are over. From today women & ppl with a cervix will be able to take their own cervical screening sample in private with nothing more than a PCR style swab. Heaps more sensitive so you can’t “do it wrong.” Game changer! @7NewsMelbourne

2 yrs ago I started my consultancy. I thought I would go back to 'work' after finishing PhD but the business organically grew. Today I relaunched as @BakerandYork and will continue to provide public policy & public affairs consulting to my global clients. bakerandyork.com

@athanae My sister changed my approach: once they’re at childcare, why sterilise anything?

Scary Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) 730 report of a pre-retireee turning to Crypto speculation to meet his retirement needs. We need to move faster and IMPLEMENT new ways to increase access to financial advice. #cryptlnkd.in/dhvE5zXU lnkd.in/dsQpEn9u

A 🧵 on a piece of @MonashUni research that ought to make us all weep, retch, explode with white rage & demand better. 'Between 2001-2018 middle-aged women have gone from a place of relative mental calm, to reporting the highest level of serious mental distress.'

@glenny_james It’s just a speech. They’ve been very deliberate to say it’s not a budget. I don’t know where / when that’s coming 🤷‍♀️

@EconomistAnge Research into, diagnosis of, and treatment for is alarmingly built on the male-default. It is a terrifying thought as a woman who has a clear family history of heart disease.

@LiveFinancy Absolutely (I can’t yet speak from experience with aged care). Making childcare accessible to families AND making it an attractive sector to work and develop talent is critical for our futures.

I wholeheartedly believe the work that I and my husband do is valuable to the community (like just about everyone else). To do that, childcare is essential. This sector needs reform.

Today we delivered on our promise to remove a discriminatory, inequitable relic - the $450 threshold to receive super. From July, some 300,000 Australians will receive superannuation for the first time- around 200,000 of whom are women. It will make a real difference. #auspol

AIST welcomes the removal of the $450 monthly salary threshold for super contributions. 300,000 lower-paid Australians, mostly women, will now get super payments from 1 Jul. A positive step toward achieving better retirement savings for low paid workers bit.ly/3Jn9vTR
