Third day of the 2024 Spotless Starling fieldwork season... and we have already captured 94 birds! And this year we have a cross over with some members of the @Birdpath_IREC , who are collecting samples to monitor the prevalence of avian influenza viruses in our population

This week, the last chick of the season was ringed in our field site! During this season we ringed & pit-tagged 1458 chicks, 206 newly-detected adults, & monitored 380 previously detected ones! Not to forget the many experiments carried out! ⏩⏩
