A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at an LGBT+ nightclub in Milton Keynes. Thames Valley Police received reports at 2 am on Sunday that the Pink Punters venue in Milton Keynes was on fire.

Daniel Holtzclaw, a former Oklahoma City police officer, was convicted in 2015 of raping and sexually assaulting eight Black women while on duty. He targeted vulnerable Black women (often poor or with criminal records) in high-crime neighborhoods, pulling them over, running background checks for leverage, and forcing sexual acts under threat of arrest. He faced 36 charges and was found guilty on 18 counts (including four first-degree rapes). In 2016, he was sentenced to 263 years in prison. He was fired after the investigation began.
