@lisa_fagan @nichildcom @eani For the first year ever they put sibling and eldest child as joint first criteria(previously sibling always came before eldest child)so if course they were over subscribed🙈then thats when the number generator comes into play🙄

@ripkingo @nichildcom @eani Sorry to hear that Debbie. Were they oversubscribed at the sibling criterion? (If so, they shouldn't have admitted any eldest or only children. Surely they can't admit eldest/only children if they don't have spaces for all those with siblings at the school.)

@lisa_fagan @nichildcom @eani Not that its any consellation as all our kids have been put through the mill with the AQE shambles but my daughter didnt place in her school of choice and she DOES have a sibling there.They used a number generator system🤷🏻♀️

@nichildcom @eani It's discriminatory to separate twins while allowing all other siblings to stay together. The main criterion for admission to post-primary schools is having a sibling there but my daughter can't go to the same school as her twin.
