@TragosLaw Defense attorney took advantage of this hearing to clarify why his client stood silent as plea - which had nothing to do with this hearing. Kind of (unintentionally) making an argument of why such a sweeping gag order is not a great idea. Seemed a bit hypocritical.

Sounds like the #kohberger hearing was contentious. At least between Goncalves family attorney Gray and the prosecution. He thinks it’s because they were critical of the investigation early on (they’ve tried to mitigate that since). However, we can’t forget the notice of claims that were filed to protect future civil lawsuits for the victims’ families. He may not be wrong, the state may see them as adverse. Which is wild.
