It's March 1st. Here's my take on Georgia basketball & the NCAA Tourney: 👀 Dawgs are currently projected at an avg 9.23 seed per Bracket Matrix. So, a 9-10 seed at the moment. ❌ Lose the last 2 next week & have a 1st round exit in the SEC Tourney & I think UGA gets bounced from the field altogether, depending on how other teams finish. ✅ Beat Bama OR win 1 game in the SEC Tourney & the Dawgs are in at a 9-11 seed. 📈 Beat Bama AND win 1-2 games in the SEC Tourney & seeding moves up to an 8 seed. Georgia moved up 3 spots to #30 in NET after beating South Carolina yesterday. The highest rated NET team to NOT make the tourney was 2023-24 Indiana State at #28 in the NET, mostly driven by going 1-3 vs Quad 1 teams & a weak resume. Bottom line for Georgia: looking real good, but still a little bit of work to do.
