Medical school will always be harder for those without family/personal wealth because (1) you have to pay for it and (2) there isn’t enough free time to work. We shouldn’t make it even harder by requiring outrageous research experience for residency which favors those with money to take time off.

Audition Rotation Tip: If you have to ask what you can do to help out, you are making your team do more work. Be proactive! Know what needs to be done and then ask if you can do it. “The new admit just arrived. How about if I do the H&P and then report back to you?”

Lost my grandmother today. I haven’t seen her in person since Christmas 2019 due to no travel due to COVID. Ugh, the unmeasured pain of the pandemic. 🙏🏽 92 years old. Tonight she dances with my grandpa in heaven.
