You know, after that atrocious ending of Chainsaw man, every flaw of the part 2 is pushed to the forefront. It's impossible not to puke when you re-read certain moments due to the amount of hypocrisy and the despicable message that Fuji gave us in the end. And someone likes this?

i think of all the csm p2 critiques the "MAPPA just shouldnt animate p2 atp" one might be the most absurd. as if p2 is not filled with shit that will be amazing in animation. you wanna rob the world of this peak? thankfully MAPPA has $191.4m reasons to continue thanks to reze arc

@rogovnin @plutoxcsm The guy who thinks an adaptation is getting reworked just cuz it's receiving hate online. Aot and even jjk received more hate for the ending and they will still receive faithful adaptations. Csm is getting a full adaptation cuz it's mappa's main money maker, you can cry.

I said it feels like that, not that they didn’t matter. I’m just not a fan of reading a whole story just to reach the end and the author tells me “yk what, nothing ever happened and we’re going back to chp1! Everything was solved just like that!”, is it even development at this point? Denji didn’t even decide that on his own… and Asa, reduced to nothing but a side character in the last chp despite being called the mc of pt2, and in the first tml she didn’t get a proper conclusion either. I have many complaints honestly, I think we also deserved to see those relevant characters to be sure of how they’re doing instead of imagining stuff but that’s just me yk… I’m not a fan of open endings in most cases, I like to read the story and know how it ended - tho I believe open endings can end in an amazing way, in csm’s case it’s not horrendous but it has its flaws, more than I liked to say

LOL. It's nice to see honest reviews from the first readers of the Chainsaw man 24th volume. But then some start complaining that "the readers got it wrong." Well, they got it perfectly right, seems like. Good riddance volume 24.

@fumikoded Trying to search for hidden meanings in the Chainsaw man ending is a bad taste. It makes the whole series useless, has no logic and structure. If the text fail on the basic literary level, it's just pointless to go further. Or it's gonna be another South Park "Poo that took Pee".

Trying to look at the ending as it being totally happy or totally miserable completely misses the point of the mundanity its trying to achieve and why said mundanity is important

I feel like the main way I see the ending without me wanting to rip Fujimoto's head out ie to see Asa & Denji's relationship as this Codependant relationship almost, they're love was so powerful they end the world and Pochita had to erase it all and reset everything. 🧵

@Zmad89564020 Well, Pochita can't rewrite history. He can't. Period. Fujimoto deceived the readers by doing that retcon at the last second. With that retcon Asa and Denji are dead, erased by Pochita. Haven't reached anything. Replaced by NPC dolls with different memories noone cares about.

#csm "fans" gotta be the funniest mfs out there. When you say pochita didn't fix all his problems and he's still struggling through HIS life , its bad writing cause there's no point. As if the point wasn't to give denji a perfect life but just a chance to live his own life (1/4)

this page really says it all for me. pochita asks denji what he DREAMS of next, and his only dream at that point was to be chainsaw man. then in the very next panels his entire fucking house is on fire and he loses everything. and when he chooses csm over her, he loses nayuta too

This never happened. Pochita and Denji got EATEN. The ENTIRE WORLD got eaten by bugs. Erasing himself was the only way to end the apocalypse. Pochita actions were not in response to anything Denji did. He never criticized Denji and just told him to keep dreaming.
