1am thoughts on social farming: Many teams want to do a social farming campaign to promote their token. But these farms are so annoying. It’s just spam. The content they incentivize adds nothing of value to any conversation. I’m bearish on most projects that do this. They’re just copying Portal. There’s no innovation. That’s not gonna work. You need to think from first principles. What we’re doing at Pacmoon is different. In order to earn $PAC from tweeting, we have to like your tweet first, to make it eligible. That way all the spam, bots and low effort content get zero $PAC. I personally view what we’re doing as very similar to distributing WL spots moreso than a social farm like Portal. We manually handpick the creators we want to build with long term and reward them. Whereas with most social farms, they’re literally just rewarding farmers. And farmers are extractors, not contributors. Now is what Pacmoon doing perfect? No, not at all. We’re still iterating and making improvements. But I definitely want to separate ourselves from these other social farming projects. We’re coming at this with a different energy. We’re actually a part of the community we’re creating. We’re friends with the people here. No other social farm is doing this. Pacmoon is not a social farm. /end rant
